New York in September is refreshing.
Seven years ago, I was walking down the street of my favorite borough, ‘Brooklyn’.
‘Brooklyn’ has the air of new culture, not alike Manhattan.
What I found there at an antique store was a ‘ceramic lamp’.
Stand light, pendant light, all sorts were there.
After that I began to see them in Manhattan too.
“How I never knew such variety were made from times ago!”
Though there were none that looked like it was just the one for me.
“One day, I should make one myself.”
Six years has passed since then.
I started my work for them the first time.
Glaze is blended to the clay for the white pieces.
It is interesting to see the light passing through the dense material.
Its ‘translucency’ delicately softens the light coming through.
And so the tender and relieving “Lightfull Light” has completed.
These lights, they only became public in Chicago last year.
I wish for everyone to take a look at them.
In the hope that these lights will become a part of your everyday life.
